I graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a degree in Medical Technology and moved to Corning in 1978 to join my husband, Lou, who was employed in Research & Development at Corning Incorporated. I was employed at Schuyler Hospital as the laboratory supervisor. After the birth of our first child in 1983, I appreciated that the evening and night hours required of a Medical Technologist were not conducive to a happy family life. I switched careers and focused my education, time and efforts in the area of financial planning. Lou and I realized at this early stage of our family development that we had many questions on how to move forward financially. Since there were no services available locally at that time, we decided to embark on this endeavor ourselves. Within a few years, I obtained my Certified Financial Planner designation and also received a Master’s Degree in Financial Planning. Financial Planning has always been my passion; however, as the business grew our firm developed expertise in investment management, tax preparation and insurance services, thus becoming a full service wealth management firm. In 1999, Lou left Corning Incorporated after a 22 year career to head the investment management side of the company and assist in business operations. The process of growth and change has been tremendously exciting, informative and rewarding. We have wonderful clients who share their knowledge and experience with us every day and an extraordinary staff who strive to continue the goals we set over 30 years ago. Our entire firm works to continue this service for many years to come.
